What a Trip!

I hope you enjoy my rendition of a song made famous by Glenn Yarbrough, Baby The Rain Must Fall. This was one of my mom's favorites! Fond memories!

The first photo was taken just a few miles from our house. This is one of my favorite spots along the Tama River. I love the curves!

The other pictures were all taken during a wonderful trip we took recently with my friend Stuart and his wife to Green Hill Yatsugatake, about 85 miles west and north of us. Wow, what a treat! And, I even squeezed in a photo of my beautiful wife!

We spent the first night in this really cool cabin and then the second night in the motel affiliated with the resort. It is an amazing place with four tennis courts, an indoor pool, a full sized soccer field, lots of nice trails, a gym with badminton and table tennis, strength training, and a wonderful restaurant. This must be the best kept secret in Japan as the price, including breakfast and dinner, is $70 per night per person or less! Part of the reason that they can do this is because this resort is subsidized by the city of Shinjuku. What a deal!

The breakfast was a buffet meal and the dinner was a fabulous traditional Japanese multi-course meal. Truly out of this world!

The beautiful cloud photos were taken from different locations during that trip. The other photos were all taken at Heidi's Village, a fascinating place that has an observation tower, a gorgeous rose garden, lots of paths for walking, a great display of pumpkins, and other attractions.

I never cease to be amazed at the variety of aesthetically pleasing sites here in Japan. It truly is a photographer's paradise!

By the way, all of the photos were taken with my iPhone 15 Pro Max. What a camera it has!

All the best to you and your families as the holiday season starts!

Bob
